Workshop with A’isha Azar - Grand Forks BC

I was able to attend Sunday’s advanced workshop of this A’isha Azar weekend hosted by Michele in Grand Forks - just a 2 hour drive east of me. I’m so glad I went!  A’isha Azar is from Spokane and it was her first time teaching in Canada, but I hope not her last!

My belly dance buddy Camille and I headed out for the 2 hour drive and were greeted cheerily by Michele who was a warm and generous hostess.
A’isha’s style is totally Egyptian and this is what I have been wanting to experience more of.  She’s been around the block a  few times and is a gem of knowledge and experience.  A’isha had us eating out of her hand!  She is a good teacher with a heartwarming style and very generous . . . and opiniated.  I like that.  Watching her dance was inspiring and wow, those shimmies were something else.  I was so inspired by her dancing style and her whole attitude that I just knew I had to see her again.  I feel like she understands me.  So . . . I’ll be doing some private study with A’isha in a couple of weeks when I’m down to Spokane for the BDSS concert.
